Willow Weaving Workshop
Wildwood Trust, near Herne Bay
Saturday 9th March 10.00am – 1.00pm
This event is for members only and must be pre-booked.
Following the success of the willow workshop a few years ago, we have arranged another one, this time at Wildwood Trust, a British wildlife park in 40 acres of ancient woodland, which is home to many native species, both past and present. The morning will start with an introductory talk about willow growing and its uses, then participants will move outside to make wigwam plant supports to take home with them. You will need to wear warm outdoor clothing and bring a kneeling mat and sharp secateurs. If it is very cold, fingerless gloves are useful to keep hands warm while weaving.
Cost: £25 to include materials and tea/coffee and biscuits.
Numbers are strictly limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is a booking form in the Winter 2019 newsletter.
