Last year’s Special Spring Meeting with its mix of beautiful displays, both photographic and fresh flower, with the chance to buy unusual plants in indoor comfort, eat and drink delicious refreshments and listen to a well-known speaker proved very popular with members and visitors. We are repeating this successful format again this year and look forward to welcoming even more visitors.

The Magic of the Changing Seasons – Spring into Summer’ 2.30pm
Speaker: John Massey of Ashwood Nurseries

Members’ lecture meeting. Guests are welcome to attend up to two meetings before becoming members.

Photographic Show
Following the success of last year’s event we are once again combining our annual photographic competition with the popular Indoor Pant Fair and lecture at Lenham in March. Although our gardens struggled with the drought early in the year, the summer rain and autumn sunshine resulted in wonderful late season displays of flowers, fruit and foliage, so we hope you had your cameras at the ready and will bring along your best shots on 18 March. Members can find the schedule in the Winter Newsletter.

Flower Display
Members will be staging a display of some of the plants from their own gardens showing the huge variety that can be grown at this time of year.

Add to this a delicious lunch of home-made soup and rolls, tea and coffee in the morning and tea and cake to send you on your way home and you can see it’s going to be a great day.

As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be: Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle
