Indoor Plant Fair 11.30am to 2pm
Talk by Derry Watkins at 2.30pm
Once again, we are combining our annual photographic competition with the popular Indoor Plant Fair and lecture to make a Special Spring Meeting.
Lenham Village Hall will be our venue and will allow us to wander around specialist nursery stalls without getting cold. Plants and bulbs will be pushing their way through the soil in earnest and there will be plenty of plants for sale. Get there early to get the choicest goodies! Full details, including a list of nurseries, here.
You will then be able to look at members’ considerable photographic efforts at your leisure.
Further temptations include a light lunch followed by a talk from Derry Watkins on ‘Unusual and Long-Blooming Plants’.
Derry Watkins is a plants-woman who particularly loves flowering plants. Her nursery, Special Plants, in South Wiltshire is renowned for the huge variety of desirable and unusual plants that leaves most gardeners drooling. Derry came late to gardening, finding her way to her horticultural career circuitously, but her passion for plants is without doubt and we should expect an exciting and inspiring talk. Derry will also be bringing plants with her to sell.
As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be:
Plant display – Plant sale – Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle – Teas
So make a date in your diary to attend this activity-packed event and we will look forward to seeing you there.
