Val Bourne is an award-winning garden author who writes for numerous publications including The Daily Telegraph, Saga magazine and the national HPS journal. She lectures throughout Britain and across the world, and has published several books including The Natural Gardener and, most recently, The Living Jigsaw. A life-long plantaholic, she gardens without chemicals and champions the natural approach, having seen the steep decline in native wildlife, and she wants gardeners to realise their part in sustaining the planet for future generations. Val enjoys her garden in winter as much as in summer, and her talk will feature some of the plants that can make a garden stunning in the winter months, while also helping wildlife.

The AGM will follow Val’s talk.

As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be:
Plant display – Plant sale – Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle – Teas
