Ben has a lifelong interest in plants, and runs the specialist, family-owned Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery in south Norfolk growing a wide range of hardy, herbaceous perennials. He is also a wildfowl and rare poultry enthusiast, and has a bird sanctuary at his nursery where exotic waterfowl, including cranes and storks, roam free – members who were on the Garden Tour of Norfolk five years ago will recall our unforgettable visit! He has also kept and bred endangered red squirrels, from Welsh stock, at the garden.

The AGM will follow Ben’s talk.

As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be:      Plant display – Plant sale – Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle – Teas
