Last Saturday, a large group of members escaped the hustle and bustle of Canterbury and went on a private tour of the Cathedral Gardens.

Amazing April Meeting
All the elements of an HPS event were there: a super speaker, a really good plant sale, an interesting display, a delicious tea and the added bonus of the Seedling Swap.
Mega March Meeting
Our March meeting was MEGA! We asked you to come and join us to celebrate the spring. And come you did, and celebrate we did! There were plants everywhere – plants to buy, plants in the display, plants in photographs, plants in paintings and a talk about, you guessed it, plants!
Farewell Fair Maids of February
But now it’s time to say farewell to this little white, bell-shaped flower that has kept us busy, active, amused and entertained for the last month or so.
Thenford Gardens and Arboretum
From Shaftesbury in the snow to Thenford on a sunny and spring-like afternoon – the weather could hardly have been more different as we headed for Northamptonshire on our second major snowdrop expedition of the year.

Lovely friends and more snowdrops
We are lucky enough to have friends living near Cambridge, which gave me the opportunity to visit the wonderful winter garden at Anglesey Abbey that is also famous for it’s snowdrops.
Shaftesbury Snowdrop Festival 2017
A trio of us from Kent decided to attend the Shaftesbury Snowdrop Festival this year. The Festival lasts a week and first started in 2012 when ‘Shaftesbury Snowdrops’ decided to make it Britain’s first Snowdrop Town.
