This event is for members only and must be pre-booked.
We return to Norton Village Hall for this year’s Christmas Party, and to the now familiar pattern of the day: coffee on arrival, followed by illustrated talks by fellow members. This year Ginny Oakes will take a ‘Fun Look Back at the Isle of Wight Trip’, during which she made full use of her considerable photographic skills to record notable plants, places and, of course, her fellow members. Gill and Peter Regan went a bit further afield ‘In the Steps of the Planthunters’ – to Yunnan Province in China, to be precise, and they have prepared a short presentation on the highlights of their trip. The customary excellent and ample lunch will follow, but any subsequent tendency to torpor will be dispelled by Colin Moat’s latest quiz. Finally, whether you’ve triumphed or trashed, there will be tea and mince pies to send you on your way replete and, we hope, relaxed. Members will be asked to bring contributions towards the lunch and committee members will be in touch to ensure there’s a generous spread. You will find the booking form in the Autumn Newsletter.
