This year will be Kent Group’s 25th Anniversary and to mark this very special occasion the President of The Hardy Plant Society, Roy Lancaster, will be coming to speak to us.

Paris japonicaRoy is perhaps the UK’s best-loved plantsman. He has had a long and distinguished career that includes being Curator of the Hillier Arboretum as well as a broadcaster, writer and lecturer on horticulture. His travels across the world on plant hunting expeditions have made him very knowledgeable about many of our garden plants and their origins, particularly in respect of his trips to China and Nepal. Roy’s talk is entitled `Perennials Please`.

Following the talk, there will be a celebratory afternoon tea.

Admission to this event is by ticket only. Tickets will be £5 each to include afternoon tea.
Priority will be given to members and their guests but tickets will then distributed on a first-come-first-served basis.
