Brian and Wendy Wickenden hold a National Collection of Species Corydalis in their Essex garden of just under an acre, which they open for visits by private groups and under the National Garden Scheme.
Corydalis have become more popular as garden plants in recent years, with an ever-increasing range of cultivars available, and they can provide flowers across 10 months of the year, in a wide range of colours. Brian will talk us through the types available, their preferred conditions and cultivation, and how to naturalise them with other garden plants to best effect.
As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be: Plant display – Plant sale – Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle – Teas
