This lecture will follow the Indoor Plant Sale. Details
The plant sale is open to the public.
Members’ lecture meeting. Guests are welcome to attend up to two meetings before becoming members.

Everett Leeds began his longstanding fascination with clematis in the 1970s. Despite describing himself as ‘just an amateur’, he was a founder member of both the International Clematis Society and the British Clematis Society, has served several terms on the committees of both, and has co-authored two books on the genus. His talk will cover the under-appreciated area of herbaceous clematis: scented varieties, those suitable for the front, middle and rear of the border. He will also illustrate a range of non-clinging and clinging varieties for scrambling, obelisks etc and give advice on cultivation and propagation. There will also be seed, books and booklets for sale.

As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be:

Plant display - Plant sale - Seed exchange - Book sale - Raffle - Teas

Theme for this month’s plant display - daffodils and narcissus
