Garden Visit – Watergate House, Fordwich
Watergate House, Fordwich, near Canterbury
Tuesday 1 May 2018, 3pm
This event is for members only and must be pre-booked.
Watergate House, on the banks of the River Stour, dates back to around 1560 and earlier; this is an opportunity to see its beautiful walled garden, belonging to HPS member Fiona Cadwallader. The ancient walls provide the basic structure, while a green oak pergola echoes a monastic cloister. The garden includes areas of formal, spring and woodland planting, as well as a secret garden and vegetable garden, each area with its own colour combinations.
There is a booking form in the Winter 2018 Newsletter.
