Garden Visit – Churchfield, Postling
Friday 31 May 2019, 2.30pm
This event is for members only and must be pre-booked.
This is a 5-acre garden at the base of the North Downs, including springs rising from the source of the East Stour river. From these, two large ponds have been created, home to wildfowl and fish, and the banks have been planted with drifts of primula, large-leaved herbaceous plants, bamboo and ferns. The garden also includes a cobnut platt and vegetable garden, naturally planted borders and woodland. There will be plants for sale.
Members will also be able to visit Malliet Pattrick’s garden, West Court Lodge, next door.
There will be a charge of £3 for this visit to include refreshments.
There is a booking form in the Spring 2019 Newsletter.
