Garden Visit – Chapel House, Ramsgate
Chapel House, Ramsgate
Saturday 14 September 2019, 2.30pm
This event is for members only and must be pre-booked.
An Arts & Crafts style garden surrounding a converted 13th century chapel. The garden was mostly laid out in 1990, making use of old brick and flint walls, and includes topiary, grasses, cannas, dahlias and salvias, along with many other plants which benefit from the mild maritime winters. There is an orchard of old apple varieties, planted 20 years ago and now growing mistletoe, while two ponds support good populations of newts and frogs. A small walled vegetable garden with a glasshouse and Brahma hens lies below the main garden.
There will be a charge of £8 for this visit to include refreshments.
There is a booking form in the Summer 2019 Newsletter.
