Philip Oostenbrink is Chair of the Kent Group of Plant Heritage, and holds three National Collections himself (Hakonechloa macra, Ophiopogon japonicus and Aspidistra elatior). He has been Head Gardener at Canterbury Cathedral for four years, and some of our Group were lucky enough to have a tour there with him two years ago. The historic precincts include a surprising mix of gardens – public and private, formal and informal – with a range of conditions and many unusual plants. Philip will tell us more in what promises to be a fascinating talk.

As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be:
Plant display – Plant sale – Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle – Teas
