Garden Lore – Fact, Fiction or a Matter of Opinion?

Jude Lawton
Platt Memorial Hall, St. Mary’s Platt, TN15 8FH
Sunday 28 April 2019, 2.30pm

Members’ lecture meeting. Guests are welcome to attend up to two meetings before becoming members.
Members £3 Guests £5

Jude is a retired landscape gardener and a former Chair of the Kent group of Plant Heritage. She has spoken to us previously about ferns, and ran a workshop for us last November on their propagation. She is also an avid grower of both ornamentals and vegetables. With her years of practical experience, Jude’s talk will look at some of the many perceived ‘rules’ of gardening she has encountered, and consider their value – or otherwise. We expect a lively discussion after her talk!

Jude’s talk will be followed by our ever-popular seedling swap – bring along your surplus seedlings and make the most of the chance to acquire and try out seedlings of a huge range of plants, including many unusual ones, all for a minimal charge.

As usual at our lecture meetings there will also be:      Plant display – Plant sale – Seed exchange – Book sale – Raffle – Teas
